You will find your district on the map of Rwanda, discover the work people do there and in the neighbouring districts, compare them, and see how these activities help everyone to develop.

Peace Education and Human Rights

You will learn about the human rights that belong to everyone and the special rights of children, how respect, tolerance, equity and equality build peace, and how to stay safe from abuse and gender-based violence, and where to get help.

Economy

You will learn to tell needs from wants, see how the environment meets our needs and how to care for it, understand money and how families earn it, and practise spending wisely and saving for tomorrow.

Ten Commandments of God

You will learn the Ten Commandments that God gave to Moses and the similar commands in the Qur'an, the two groups of commandments and why they matter, the greatest commandments, what happens when they are broken, and how rules and laws help our society.

Civics and Governance

You will learn Rwanda's national symbols (the flag, the anthem "Rwanda Nziza", the coat of arms and the motto) and why they matter, how to behave well and resist negative peer pressure, and how leaders and good governance serve the people of your district.

Weather, Flora and Fauna

You will learn what the weather is like in your district and how it is measured, how weather and climate shape people's work, and why Rwanda's plants and animals are precious and must be protected.

Introduction to Christian and Islamic Faith

You will discover what Christians and Muslims believe about the one God, their holy books, how they pray, their special days and places of worship, the good deeds their faith asks of them, and the main pillars of each faith.

Infrastructure

You will learn about the types and means of transport and communication in Rwanda, why they matter, the difficulties and dangers they bring, and how to stay safe and solve the problems.

Traditional Rwanda

You will travel back to pre-colonial Rwanda to learn how the kingdom was led, how families and clans lived together, how people farmed, kept cattle and made crafts, and how their trade differs from trade today.

Values in the Bible and Qur'an

You will discover the values that the Bible and the Qur'an teach side by side: honesty, fairness and peace; love for family and neighbours; prayer, thankfulness and patience; kindness and forgiveness towards others; and answering to God for everything we do.
