Explain what vegetables are and why they matter for nutrition and income in Rwanda, classify them by part eaten, family, life cycle, planting method and climate, raise seedlings in a nursery, prepare land, plant and care for a vegetable crop, harvest at the right stage, and preserve the harvest by cooling, drying, salting, pickling and canning.

Identify the non-ruminant species and breeds kept in Rwanda (pigs, poultry and rabbits), then rear rabbits successfully: build a proper hutch, feed each class of rabbit correctly, recognise and prevent their diseases, pests and enemies, and follow the farm sanitation rules that keep a rabbit unit healthy.
