Yes. Select a cell and ask for a hint, and the game fills it in. A hint costs 75 points, so the best scores come from solving without them.
No. Sudoku runs in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and you can play as a guest. Pick a name at the end to put your time on the leaderboard.
Sudoku
Logic puzzle · 5 stages
Hard sudoku: only 30 clues, longer chains of reasoning, and a 10-minute par for double points.
No account needed — play as a guest and pick a name for the leaderboard after your round.
Five stages, from a half-filled board down to 26 clues. Fewer clues carry a bigger score multiplier.
Tap an empty cell, then a number on the pad — or type 1–9. Each row, column and 3×3 box needs 1 to 9 once.
Tap the same number again, or the eraser, to clear a cell. Stuck? A hint fills the selected cell, for a price.
Finish under the par time for a bonus. Mistakes and hints cost points. Your best goes on the stage's leaderboard.
Sudoku is a logic puzzle on a 9×9 grid divided into nine 3×3 boxes. Fill every empty cell with a digit from 1 to 9 so that each row, each column and each box holds all nine digits exactly once. There is no arithmetic, only reasoning.
The Hard level starts with 30 of the 81 cells filled. With so few clues, a digit is often only certain after you have ruled out every other option across a row, a column and a box, and spotted where the candidates pair up.
The par time is 10 minutes, and the level scores twice the points of Beginner. Your score starts at 1,000 points times the level's multiplier, gains half a point for every second you finish under par and loses a point for every second over. Each mistake costs 50 points and each hint 75. Solve it with no mistakes and no hints for three stars.
A new puzzle is generated every round. If Hard is not enough, Advanced starts with just 26 clues.
