In French, we talk about a boy with il. We talk about a girl with elle. Let's see how!

elle = she, for a girl or a woman.
Mugisha : Qui est-ce ?
Keza : C'est ma sœur. Elle s'appelle Uwase.
Mugisha : Et lui ?
Keza : C'est mon frère. Il s'appelle Gatete.
ma sœur = my sister, mon frère = my brother, Et lui ? = And him?
Je chante. (I sing.)
Elle fait un signe de la main. (She waves her hand.)
Je tape des mains. (I clap my hands.)
Elle s'étire. (She stretches.)
Il appelle quelqu'un. (He calls someone.)
Je réponds. (I answer.)
Elle écoute. (She listens.)
