Poser des questions
Lesson 4 of 4
12 min
Mugisha plays a game with his big sister Mutesi.
He asks her lots of questions. Two small words help him: comment and où.
Today you will ask and answer questions with them.
| You ask | You answer |
|---|---|
| Comment tu t’appelles ? | Je m’appelle Mutesi. |
| Comment ça va ? | Ça va bien, merci. |
| Où habites-tu ? | J’habite à Kigali. |
| Où est le stade ? | Le stade est là. |
Mugisha : « Où est Keza ? »
Mutesi : « Keza est à l’école. »
Mugisha : « Et Papa ? Où est Papa ? »
Mutesi : « Papa est à la maison. »

Open your mouth big and round. Say o: vélo, moto, stylo, au revoir.
Now make your lips small and push them out, like a kiss. Say ou: où, bonjour, vous.
Good news: French ou sounds like the u in the Kinyarwanda word umuntu. You already know this sound!
Say these pairs: mo … mou, lo … lou, po … pou.
Tip
