Practise for the national exam the way it really feels. This paper follows the structure, question types, marks and timing of the NESA Senior 6 (A-Level) General Studies exam.
These questions simulate the national exam. They are original Ganzaa questions written in the same format as the NESA papers — not the official NESA papers, and not endorsed by NESA. The official papers stay free on our past papers page.
10 versions of every question, so each attempt is a fresh paper with the same structure.
180 minutes, 100 marks, the same sections and question types as the national exam.

A taste of the paper. Every exam you sit has different questions in this style.
Sample 1 · Literature: genres
Choose the correct answer.
Which of the following are genres of literature?
Answer: D. All of the above
The three main genres are prose (e.g. novels, short stories), poetry and drama, so all the options are genres.
Sample 2 · Compound growth: appreciation
Keza bought a plot of land in January 2019 for 450,000 Frw. The value of the land appreciates by 10% at the beginning of each year. What was the value of the land in January 2022? Choose the correct answer.
Select one answer.
Answer: C. Rwf 598,950
Value Frw.
(January 2019 to January 2022 is 3 years. Adding 10% of 450,000 three times gives simple growth, 585,000 Frw, which is wrong because each year's increase is on the new value.)
Sample 3 · National service
Circle the best answer.
You are leading a national service (Urugerero) project to improve health in a rural village. Which one of the following activities would NOT support the community's health?
Answer: D. Discouraging people from joining health insurance
Latrines, hand-washing and clean water prevent disease. Discouraging Mutuelle de santé would block people's access to care.
