Practise for the national exam the way it really feels. This paper follows the structure, question types, marks and timing of the NESA Senior 6 (A-Level) Physics exam.
These questions simulate the national exam. They are original Ganzaa questions written in the same format as the NESA papers — not the official NESA papers, and not endorsed by NESA. The official papers stay free on our past papers page.
10 versions of every question, so each attempt is a fresh paper with the same structure.
180 minutes, 100 marks, the same sections and question types as the national exam.
Your score, the correct answer to every question and a clear explanation of why.

Select the option that best completes the statement or answers the question.
Which pair of properties describes LASER light?
Answer: D. High directionality and monochromaticity
Laser light is highly directional (a narrow, almost parallel beam) and monochromatic (a single wavelength). It is also coherent and intense; it does not diverge widely and is not a mixture of wavelengths.
Sample 2 · Optical instruments
Select the option that best completes the statement or answers the question.
The final image formed by a magnifying glass (simple microscope) is
Answer: D. virtual, upright and magnified
The object is placed inside the focal length of the converging lens, so the image is on the same side as the object: virtual, upright and magnified.
