Lesson 3 of 3
20 min
Let's begin
Two stones make a goal. Byiringiro is the goalkeeper.
Uwase puts the ball down. She looks at the goal.
Can Uwase score?
Grown-up: read this aloud. Show each move first. Then do it together.
You need: a ball, and two stones or two bottles for each goal.
Stand with a friend, three big steps apart.
Your friend holds the ball in two hands. They roll it along the ground to your feet.
Kick it gently back to their hands. Then swap.
Is it easy? Try drop and kick. Hold the ball, let it drop, and kick it gently to your friend.
Make a goal with two stones. One child is the goalkeeper. Only the goalkeeper may use hands.
Everyone lines up behind a chalk line. Take turns to shoot.
Then swap goalkeepers, so everyone has a go in goal.
Walk slowly and shake your legs. Give the goalkeepers a high five.
Warning
Safety first! Shoot only when the goalkeeper says "Ready!". Wait behind the line for your turn.
Tip
Foot beside, laces through!
Put one foot beside the ball. Kick through it with your laces.
Do each one, then tap Show answer to check.
Do "roll and kick" 5 times with a friend.
