Ball Games Played with Our Feet (e.g. Football)
Lesson 2 of 3
20 min
Let's begin
Gatete passes the ball to Mugisha.
It rolls right past Mugisha's feet! He runs after it.
How can Mugisha stop the ball next time?

Grown-up: read this aloud. Show each move first. Then do it together.
You need: one ball for two friends, and two small stones for each pair.
Put the bottom of your foot on top of the ball.
Roll the ball forward, then back. Now try the other foot.
Pass along the ground. A gentle push is enough.
Put two stones on the ground, a little apart. That is the gate.
Stand on one side. Your friend stands on the other side, three big steps away.
Pass the ball through the gate to each other. Count your passes together. Can you get to 10?
Sit down and stretch your legs. Say "Good passing!" to your partner.
Warning
Safety first! Pass the ball gently along the ground. Never kick it hard at a friend.
