Practice Songs in C Scale
Lesson 4 of 4
25 min
Let's begin
Every morning, Umutoni walks up the hill to her school with her friends. Many schools in Rwanda have their own school song, sung at assemblies and on special days. Here is a school song that any class can make its own.
This song was written for you by Ganzaa.
Our School
Verse
Up the hill we walk each day,
To our school to learn and play.
Teachers help us, friends are near,
We are happy learning here!Chorus
Read and write and count and sing,
Learn the joy that knowledge brings!
Kind and honest, strong and true,
Our school, we are proud of you!
A school song helps everyone feel that they belong. This one talks about what we do at school (read, write, count, sing), the people who help us (teachers and friends) and the values we want to live by: being kind, honest and strong. You can add a verse with your own school's name!
