God's Creation
Lesson 4 of 6
11 min
Let's begin
Ishimwe walks to school beside his young sister.
He greets a neighbour. He reads the word painted on the gate.
Their goat follows behind them, eating grass.
Today you will see what makes people special creatures.
The story names the first two people.
The first man was Adam. The first woman was Eve.
They came at the end of day six, after every other creature.
People do things that no other creature does.
Think of the things you have done today.
A goat could do almost none of them.
Careful! Special does not mean you may be cruel.
Special means you are able to care.
A goat cannot fetch water for you.
You can fetch water for the goat.
Because you are able to care, caring is your work.
Tall or short, quick or slow, every person is a special creature.
The child sitting beside you at school is special too.
So treat that child the way you like to be treated.

Tip
Special means able to care
Ask: can the goat do this? Reading, greeting, cooking, dancing... no.
You can. So be the one who looks after the small creatures.
Do each one, then tap Show answer to check.
