God's Creation
Lesson 5 of 6
12 min
Let's begin
Gatete leans on the wall with the family cow beside him.
The cow chews grass and swings her tail.
Gatete reads his page out loud. The cow lifts her head.
She cannot read one single word. Today you will find out why.
A cow and a child are not the same. But they share a lot.
Careful! A cow is God's creation too.
She simply cannot do what you can do.
The difference is not size. It is what you are able to do.
You can read a book. A sheep cannot.
You can work out a problem in your head. A goat cannot.
People pray to God. A zebra cannot.
You can plan a game with a friend. A cow cannot.
People build houses, sweep the yard and teach children.
Careful! Do not say people are different because they are bigger.
That cow is far bigger than Gatete. She still cannot read.
You and the cow both drink water. Both of you grow.
But only one of you can carry the jerrycan.
That is the work people were given: to look after the rest.

Tip
Not bigger. Just able
Same: food, water, moving, growing, young ones.
